Animal School

I have been thinking about the fact that my blog is called Teach Your Heart Out and I seldom write about anything that is related to teaching. It's not that I don't have what to write on the topic, but it's difficult to write about my personal teaching experiences without breaching the privacy of my students and they're parents, and of course the interesting stories are the ones that have to remain private...

My sympathies. It's always the best stories that you can't tell. Would this apply even if you tried to disguise the facts thricefold? You know: change the name, age, gender, location, crime... at the end, you're just telling a good story. :-D

If there are people out there that know you and know about the blog, then it definitely wouldn't be right to discuss things that happened in class...but otherwise, these things happen everywhere so it would be hard to pinpoint. Jap actually had a blog about her teaching experience but it was closed to the public and the only way to get in is if you sort of applied- emailed her and asked her for permission. Maybe consider doing that. I would love to hear about your teaching experiences.

Yeah, I know... by the way, Animal School is one of the greatest analogies I've ever heard (the video is nice, too, but I have much less patience for that stuff...)

(btw, I really am having a break... I just accidentally clicked your url in my history instead of yeshiva world...)

wow, thank you so much for posting this on your blog. I have seen it once before but I think it meant even more to me the second time around. It's exactly what I needed tonight.

One of the most incredible video thingies I've ever seen!
